Your June 2026 Guide to Best Events in Raleigh and the Triangle
Stanley Cup watch parties, beach music nights, Father's Day plans, festivals, and a few hidden gems worth your weekend.
June in Raleigh is the real start of summer. School lets out, the days stretch long, and there is somewhere to be every single weekend. This year there is also a Stanley Cup Final happening in our backyard, which means the whole city is buzzing in a way it has not in two decades.
We pulled together every event worth your time this month. Watch parties, concerts under the stars, festivals, Father's Day plans, family mornings, and a few hidden gems we think you will thank us for. Save this one. Send it to the friend who always asks "what should we do this weekend."
These are the best things to do in Raleigh and the Triangle in June 2026.
The Stanley Cup Is in Raleigh: Hurricanes Watch Parties
For the first time in twenty years, the Carolina Hurricanes are in the Stanley Cup Final, facing the Vegas Golden Knights. Home games at the Lenovo Center are essentially sold out, with resale tickets climbing past $1,000, so the city has stepped in to make sure everyone can be part of it.
For the home games, head to Moore Square in downtown Raleigh, where the City of Raleigh and the Downtown Raleigh Alliance are hosting free outdoor watch parties on a giant screen. Doors open at 7 PM. Bring your own chair and get there early, because big crowds are expected.
For the road games, the Lenovo Center is opening its doors so fans can fill the stands and watch on the jumbotron with thousands of other Caniacs. Admission is free.
The series so far:
- Game 1: Tuesday, June 2, 8 PM, home at Lenovo Center
- Game 2: Thursday, June 4, 8 PM, home at Lenovo Center
- Game 3: Saturday, June 6, 8 PM, in Las Vegas
- Game 4: Tuesday, June 9, 8 PM, in Las Vegas
- Game 6 (if necessary): Sunday, June 14, 8 PM, in Las Vegas
- Game 7 (if necessary): Wednesday, June 17, home at Lenovo Center
Watch parties at Moore Square cover the home games, and the Lenovo Center hosts the road-game parties. The later dates depend on how the series unfolds, so check the team's channels before you go.

How to Plan Your June
If you do nothing else this month, do this:
Opening weekend (June 5 to 6): Dave Matthews Band at Walnut Creek or First Friday downtown on Friday. Then a packed Saturday: the International Food Festival on Fayetteville Street, Raleigh Pride Fest at Raleigh Iron Works, and Mimosa Fest at Fenton. Catch a Canes road-game watch party at the Lenovo Center if the series is rolling.
Father's Day weekend (June 13): The S.T. Dupont trunk show at Liles in North Hills, then Under the Sea with the NC Symphony at Koka Booth that night.
Third Saturday (June 20): Fenton Maker's Market, Mozart by Moonlight at Koka Booth, or a drive up to the Governor's Cup Regatta on Kerr Lake.
All month long: Beach music every Thursday in North Hills, Summerfest under the stars at Koka Booth, and Hurricanes hockey (fingers crossed for a long run).
